Condition:
The watch is in 9.0/10 in excellent condition where it maintains its original shape and design. The watch have been previously gently polished and the bracelet have normal wear and minimal to no stretch and dial is in excellent overall condition. The watch comes watch only
Our Thoughts:
The Cartier Santos model have been around for over 100 years and its become one of the iconic shape designs for Cartier watches. With the full stainless steel case and integrated bracelet, the watch is somewhat of a hybrid between a dress watch and a sports watch.
This particular example we have here is a little extra special. Launched in 2002 as a SIHH (Asia watch tradeshow) limited edition, the brand decided to create a new dial design and colour for the special occasion. Initial thoughts would be that its just a change of colour to a unique sunburst grey with white painted roman numerals, but upon closer inspection, there is no date window and the white numerals are all luminous fonts.
The model designation “Galbee” also means that the case design is slightly different to the usual Santos models, with a slightly curve case that makes it even more wearable and snug across the wrist. At 41mm x 29mm, the watch is listed at the LM size but it is equally comforatble for men and women.
