Condition:
The watch is in excellent condition 9/10 with normal signs of aging and wear. The watch maintains its full and sharp case with hallmarks still extremely well preserved. The dial seems to be in fantastic condition with little to no oxidisation and all markers and hands appears to be original to the watch. Watch comes watch only.
Our Thoughts:
As one of the greatest watchmakers, Daniel Roth have made his name early on with his time at Breguet, single handedly revived the brand after years of poor sales and management. This Daniel Roth 50th birthday limited edition salmon dial is atypical of Daniel Roth with the “Ellipsocurvex” double ellipse design that have grow in popularity in recent time and at the same time still inherits the DNA that he firmly applied to his work at Breguet with the guilloche dial, blued hands, roman numerals.
We absolutely fell in love with this piece when we first saw it. The salmon dial was probably ahead of its time in the 1990s but its unique tone is spectacular in the sunlight. At 36mm x 31mm, it is the reduced size but it is well balanced with the simple dial layout.
