The watch was only worn sparingly and is in fantastic condition 9.5/10 condition with full set box and card from year 2011. The watch was sent to F.P. Journe in 2024 for a full service and there are no visible dents or marks on the watch and is in normal running order.
Our Thoughts:
One of the iconic works of François-Paul Journe, the Centigraphe is unique to the brand and it demonstrates how dedicated François-Paul Journe is to creating some of the most sophisticated and technically brilliant watches on the market. The in essence is a chronograph watch with the function to time to 100th of a second (top left sub-dial). Operated with a single psuher near the 2 o’clock position, the watch design is designed with elegance and practicality in mind.
Despite the level of complexity in creating a watch that displays 100th of a second, the watch remains relatively thin at 10.1mm, with its curved bezel and case design the watch wears sleek on wrist and compared to some of the other similar function luxury watches, the 40mm diameter is something we absolutely adore.
We might not use our watches to time things nowadays but the watch is an eye-candy itself and the triple sub-dial are filled with details that is contrasted beautifully with the salmon dial and tone on tone rose gold case. Don’t get me wrong, there is a lot going on with the dial and it might not be one for those looking for something simple, but the way they have managed to find balance in fitting all the information onto the dial is a testimony to the success François-Paul Journe have gained in the past decade or so.
