This particular example we have here exhibits all the traits of why people fell in love with the design language of Gerald Genta. Condition:
The watch is in 8.8/10 in excellent condition where it maintains its original shape and design. The dial in white onyx and lapis lazuli appears to be in excellent condition with little to no oxidisation and no cracks on the dial. The case is still thick and engravings are still visible. The original strap is heavily worn but is original to the watch with the original buckle.

Gerald Genta is perhaps one of the most discussed name amongst watch collectors in recent years. His influence in modern watchmaking is undeniably influential and have shaped the way brands design watches and more specifically sports watches. His DNA in watch designs lingers in everything he touches and perhaps his achievements under other brands have been too well documented that its somehow overshadowed his own brand Gerald Genta.
in the 1980s and 1990s he designed some of the most peculiar but interesting pieces with interesting materials and shapes. This example we have here displays all the aesthetic features of Gerald Genta. The use of exotic stones like white onyx and lapis lazuli on the dial contrasts beautifully on the yellow gold case. What is unique about some of his designs in that period was the use of a octagonally finished crystal that creates another layer of optical illusion when the light hits the dial.
