Universal Geneve Polerouter Date 36mm
The 36mm sized Polerouter was introduced a little later than the original 34mm format. designed with a date window the watch offered better readability and functionality. It is extremely rare to find one that is kept in such exceptional condition like this example, and appears that the dial does not suffer from any major moisture damage during its 50 years+ lifetime.

Our Thought:
In the 1950s the watch market was glittered with iconic watches from major brands like Rolex and Omega, and relatively less well established brands like Universal Geneve had to come up with plan to compete. Along came the Polerouter. Where it all started for one of the greatest watchmakers, Gerald Genta. Gerald Genta.
One of the earliest works from Gerald Genta, the watch was design for the Scandinavian Airline System (SAS). Rich in history, it is not as talked about as it should be but remains a significant piece of the puzzle that inspired Gerald Genta to creating all the other iconic pieces for other brands.
