Vacheron Constantin Overseas Retrograde Moonphase 4000V
It’s been a long wait for Vacheron Constantin to produce a sports model watch with their signature retrograde movement. Perhaps some would say this is expected but here is the Overseas Retrograde Moonphase, the first retrograde in the shape of the Overseas model.
The watch is equipped with the oh-so-popular blue dial and is only available in this colour (so far). The blue seems perfectly appropriate given that moonphase design as well in the 6 o’clock position, and not overcomplicating the visual impact by having too many different contrasting colours.

Condition:
Watch is in unworn condition 10/10 with 0 signs of wear or use. The links on bracelet have not been previously removed and was kept in new condition. Box condition and all interior box and accessories is in excellent condition as well.
Our Thoughts:
The Vacheron Constantin Overseas model have gone through quite the ups and downs in recent years in terms of the market demand. Even with the downturn in the secondary markets, the model remains popular amongst collectors due to the level of finishing and quality compared to some of its peers. The fact that the watch is the only sports watch in the “Holy Trinity” that comes with the interchangeable straps and the patented quick release lugs shows the level of thought behind the brands attempt in creating a sports watch that belongs to the big leagues.
We absolutely love this particular piece, where it offers a complication sports watch with a niche. There really isn’t many other brands that does retrograde like Vacheron Constantin, and we love that the brand is owning it in this niche sector and hopefully we will see this being a niche the brand can lean on to find their own identity.
