Condition:
the watch is in good condition for a 1600 Datejust fitted with an original stainless steel smooth bezel and the watch case is fairly well maintained with slight polishing from the past. Dial is in fantastic condition where all lumes are present and non-damaged. The bracelet has matching 70’ stamp which is appropriate for a 1971 production watch. Watch is in normal working order.
Our Thoughts:
One of the rarest matte dial configurations for a four digit reference Datejust. There are many nicknames for the dial, ghost dial, London sky dial, matte grey dial etc. This is due to the way the white fonts nearly disappears on the dial given the light grey matte finishing on the dial. For us, this is defintiely a collectible piece coupled with the rarer smooth bezel case giving the watch a different look.
