Our Thoughts:
Day-Date is one of the most iconic Rolex in their history and it represents a different facade of Rolex that is not just sports watch. This particular example from the 1990s might not yet be classified as a vintage piece, the watch retains the original case design from the 1950s with the brushed lugs to give the watch a well balance aesthetics.
This particular example has a beautiful combination of a blue minute tracker dial and Portuguese day disk, which really elevates the overall aesthetics of the watch. Whilst colour combinations and aesthetics is different for everyone, this type of dial is extremely rare, especially in this condition, the added colours breaks up the gold all whilst keeping the iconic Day-Date design. All original to the watch, the piece is one that is both wearable and collectible.
